2017 Annual General Meeting Notice

Please be advised that the upcoming Annual General Meeting for the Computer Science Student Association will be held with the following
DATE: 29th September 2017
TIME: 5:30pm

The meeting will include:
- The current committee’s reports for this year’s operations
- The opportunity for members to ask questions in relation to the above
- Voting for amendments to the CSSA Constitution
- Voting to elect the members of the 2018 committee

All members are highly encouraged to consider being part of the 2018 committee. As well as gaining valuable experiences and getting to know other computer science students, the CSSA has an important role in enriching experiences and opportunities available to other computer science students. Your contributions and ideas are needed! Please also reminded that you must be a CSSA member to vote, and you will need to bring your membership card on the night. If you are not a member, you may purchase a membership at any time including at the AGM.

Nominations close Thursday 5pm. Candidate statements will be released shortly after.

At the meeting you will be presented with the opportunity to give a short speech of up to 1 minute (2 minutes for the President/Vice President positions). This can include information such as why you are suited to the position and what plans you have for the position. You are welcome to read out your written candidate statement for this part if you wish. Following from this, other members will be invited to ask questions within an alloted time period.

The positions that will be voted on are:
- President
- Vice President
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- General Representatives (5 positions)
- Postgraduate Representative
- International Representative
- Common Room Officers (5 positions)

If you are unable to attend the meeting but would still like to vote at the election, you may nominate another member to vote on your behalf at the election. To do so, please fill out and lodge the following proxy voting form: http://cs.club.anu.edu.au/files/CSSA_Proxy_Voting_Form.pdf

Each member may cast proxy votes for up to 2 other members.
