Newsletter Week 1 - 2015

Welcome to 2015!

Hello newcomers and familiar faces and welcome to the first newsletter for 2015 members!

If you haven’t signed up again in 2015, you’ll need to stop by an event or the common room to join for 2015. We’ll be removing 2014 members from the list after this newsletter.
Coming up this year we’ve got some pretty exciting events, including collaborations with other clubs, trips to off-campus places and some pretty cool tech talks.

For those who don’t know, the CSSA Common Room is located in Room N102 in the CSIT building which is opposite the ANU Gym and Hall on North Road. If you’ve signed up already there’s a great map on the back of your card, otherwise it’s just down the corridor from the N115/116 room where a lot of your computer laboratory lessons will be taught.

Remember to follow both our Facebook Page and Facebook Group so that you get both event notifications and group discussions. If you use neither, you can follow most announcements on our website or calendar.

If you have any comments or suggestions, please feel free to email the committee at anucssa@anu.edu.au.

Have a look below for our upcoming events and a few job opportunities for students, and have a good year!

Thanks - Caitlin Macleod - President

COMP1100 and COMP2100 Study Sessions

The Massive All Evening Study Sessions are booster events which bring most of the students together and add some tutors, mentors and friendly CSSA members to help you nail down some of the harder concepts for good. You control what will be discussed on those evenings (by suggesting and voting on the forums beforehand). It’s like a study group which won’t stop when a time slot of over, but when the job is done (or alternatively when you fall asleep).

Information for COMP1100 available here
