We need a new committee member!
Nominations now open (Closing Monday 5th of May, 5pm!)
As a result of the resignation of one of our General Representatives, Jonathan Franzi, we’re looking for a new member to join the committee and help run the CSSA.
Who are we looking for? Anyone who’s interested in helping to run one of the best student societies at ANU!
What will I be doing? There’s a lot of variety - the committee is responsible for organising and running events, meetings, the common room, social media, website, newsletters, etc.
Do I need any experience? No - you’ll have the support of an experienced committee!
How much time does it take? Most of the time, it’ll only be a few hours a week, though there are some times during the year where it will take up more time. It’s all pretty flexible.
First Year and International students are particularly encouraged to apply!
The election will be conducted at the OGM on Tuesday 6 May (more details below) - you will have the chance to speak at the meeting and convince everyone that you’re the best person for the job!
If you wish to nominate, please complete the nomination form linked below. More information about the process can be found in the Constitution. More information on committee positions can be found in the Committee By-laws - the position that is up for election this time is General Representative.
If you have any enquiries, please contact the Returning Officer, Ben Roberts, at email@example.com.
Nominations will close on Monday 5 May, 5pm!
The purpose of this meeting is to conduct the by-election for a new General Representative. This will be followed by free pizza!
The draft agenda will be available on the website shortly. If you have any items or resolutions that you wish to have considered at the meeting, please contact the Secretary at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Time: Tuesday, 6th May 2014, 17:00 - 18:00
Location: CSIT N101
Seven times the fun. Seven times the games. Seven times the pizza*.
The 7th Epic Games Night is almost upon us!
On Friday 23rd May 2014, the ANU CSSA will hold the seventh Epic Games Night (EGN) on the ground floor of the CSIT Building.
We’ll have gaming consoles including Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii and several PC LAN games, as well as board games and card games. There will also be space for entries from our CSSA Game Jam to be shown off.
The theme this time is “007”, so bring along your shoephones, fake fingerprints and your Aston Martins (preferably models without explosive capabilities). There will be a prize for best-dressed.
Entry is FREE for CSSA members and $5 for non members. Alternatively, non members can join CSSA on the night for $5. Some snacks and drinks will be provided on the night, but we run a couple of rounds of ordering pizzas.
* PIZZA WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR $5 *
Keep track of all the hype on all of your social media with the hashtag #EGN007!
(* This is a lie. There will not be 700 pizzas.)
We’re also looking for some friendly volunteers to help with the organizing and running of the night. It’s a great way to get involved with a fun event, and you also get free pizza.
Send us a PM or email if you’re interested.
